A delegation from the Addressing and Spatial Guidance System Committee of the Emirate of Fujairah visited the ninth conference of Arab experts in geographical names entitled "Geospatial Integration between Name and Location: Importance and Impact", which is hosted by the Sultanate of Oman represented by the National Survey Authority at the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the Arab Division of Geographical Names and the Royal Geographical Center in the Kingdom of Jordan Hashemite, under the auspices of His Excellency Sayyid Hammoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, which lasted for 3 days. Through it, the committee was briefed on the best practices and the most prominent activities and achievements of the Arab countries in the field of geographical names.

This comes from the committee's keenness to study the various fields of addressing and everything related to them in order to transfer the best practices in force on the Arab and regional levels. A number of experts and specialists in the field of geographical names and related sciences from several Arab countries participated in the conference with the aim of activating joint Arab action in various fields, including: documenting geographical names, applying the unified Arab system for Romanization, standardizing geographical names (Arabic), and activating committees and bodies National Geographical Names, Linking Geospatial Information and Geographical Names, Geographical Empowerment of Geographical Names.
